Cerimônia de abertura do Focus Brazil 2017

Aconteceu no Porter Riverview Ballroom no Broward Center for the Performing Arts a cerimônia de abertura das atividades da semana do focus Brazil e Press Awards que completa 20 anos.
Carlos Borges, CEO do Focus Brasil Foundation discursou sobre os eventos apresentando em seguida Kelley Shanley – CEO, Broward Center for the Performing Arts e o Ambassador Adalnio Senna Ganem, Consul-General of Brazil in Miami que também falaram do evento com muito orgulho e entusiasmo.
A cerimônia ed abertura foi seguida por palestras sobre o Compromisso político da comunidade com os palestrantes Álvaro Lima – City of Boston Director of Research, Isabel Santos – The only Brazilian Official Delegate at the Democratic Party National Conventions of 2012 and 2016, José Peixoto – A two time runner for Congress in US Elections 2012 and 2016, Marcony Almeida – Journalist and political activist in Massachusetts, Margareth Shepard – Businesswoman, activist and Direcortor at the “Brazilians for Political Education”, movement, Renata Castro – Immigration Lawyer and recently ran for a seat at the City of Margate, Florida, Comissioner, in US 2016 election.
